Introduction – Why Skincare matters to me

Introduction – Why Skincare matters to me

So in the about page of this blog I mentioned about how important skincare is to me and why it matters.

But…I never did say why it matters.

So why? Well like a lot of people, I do care about how I present myself to the world. I’ve always been self conscious and still am, I’m constantly trying to improve that in many forms – skincare is just one of them for me.

I’ve been lucky in a sense growing up I never had severe acne – but of course I’ve had terrible breakouts and just wanted rid of them as soon as physically possible! So I’m not a miracle worker – I’ve just always wanted that control or really prevent anything happening.

Since my teens what my skin looked like mattered, it was only in my late teens that I realised using certain skincare products could actually make a difference long term.
I just think having skincare in my routine helps me out in a lot of different ways. My makeup sits nicer on my skin and I feel like I’m taking care of myself. I don’t want to preach the importance of self care but sometimes it’s hard to know what you actually do for yourself and only yourself on a day to day basis.

Well that’s my TED talk for me and skincare. I hope anyone reading enjoys my posts to follow this,
